when we were younger, we were brutally honest. some put it into words, some didn't. my friend zack did. this is from when he was in 5th grade. i find it hilarious and slightly frightening at the same time... because i was exactly the same way (except i didn't write it down).

zack: So I was searching through the back of an old closet of mine, and found a three ring binder. Tucked in the folders on the sides, folded up and untouched for nearly seven years, I found these. Basically a detailed rating and ranting of all the students in my fifth grade class. No particular order to these. Red pen edits and writings are no more than a day or two newer than the originals. A fun side note: All the people I rated "+", except the teacher, are now in rehab.

i ate dinner at this new place called the cheesecake factory last night. it's a little swankier than i expected a place called the cheesecake factory to be. very cool design... i took some pictures in my moblog. they have the hugest menu i've ever seen at any restaurant. 200 menu items, you have to see it to believe it. it's a little pricey, but nothing overboard, and you definitely get what you pay for. check out their menu at their website linked below!

well, my room has been getting more and more cluttered with computer crap, especially while working on a friend's computer. so, i decided to move all my extra computer stuff into the "rec room" which is a room in our basement that nobody uses anymore. check out my new lair, it's pretty sweet if i do say so myself:

in work mode...

don't worry, i still have my main computer and hdtv in my bedroom. heh heh.

a few links worthy of posting today...

according to this article at yahoo, internet explorer is continuing to lose its grip of the web browser market. (not that i needed an article to know that.) so, if you haven't already (and how could you not if you know me), go and download mozilla firefox, and stop using microsoft's pathetic excuse for a browser.

also, a bittorrent replacement has finally arrived! give eXeem a try. from their site:

"eXeem is a brand new Peer-To-Peer program, which is based on the BitTorrent idea. eXeem eliminates the need for trackers as nodes in the program will be taking their role. eXeem also features easy publication of files to the network as well as a rating and comments system. eXeem contains NO SPYWARE. eXeem is free and is ad-supported. eXeem is currently still in its beta testing phase, which means that the network might not be completely stable yet. You are still very welcome to give eXeem a try and see how it is different from other Peer-To-Peer programs."

they like saying "eXeem" a lot. it's not that cool of a name you guys.

have you ever stumbled upon an old journal of yours unexpectedly? if you have, you know how off-putting it can be. now, i'm not even talking about something majorly old, i'm talking about something around 2 years old. it is amazing how much things can dramatically change in that short of a span... even one's writing style. friendships, attitudes toward life and events, even musical tastes (or lack thereof).

if you don't know me or my friends too well, you might not get too much out of this... but reading it was quite an experience for me, one that just snuck up on me since i happened to be browsing at livejournal. you never know when something like this will happen, and suddenly you find yourself contemplating life. just by reading the words it felt as if, for a short moment at least, i was reliving these events all over again. as pointless as most of them may be, those are the ones we remember the most. i'll miss what many of my friends used to be to me.

this is just a random collection of links... i swear.

for those of you who are sick & tired of the radio, like i have been for years, i added some good online radio links to my navbar on the left. of course, since it's me, 2 out of the 3 are electronica, but everyone who reads this (and i mean everyone) needs to give a listen to radio paradise. it's so hard to describe, so i'll just let them do it: DJ-mixed modern & classic rock, world music, electronica, acoustic, jazz & much more. this has got to be the most eclectic online radio station i've ever listened to, and most of the music i've never heard before. i've found myself listening for hours on end. so please, seriously, check it out, and let me know what you think.

livejournal's blogging service was shut down for about a day due to a major power outage at their webhosting company, and it put their 5.6 million blogs offline. it made front page news over at yahoo... check it out.

see? you should've picked blogger! ::looks at kim::

everyone's headed back to college again... see you all over summer. i had a great time! be sure to drop me a line every now and then. i'll try to update my blog a bit more often.

this has got to be my new favorite website. it's all brilliant sketch comedy, and while it's produced in a very amateurish fashion, these guys are hilarious, so it doesn't matter... and if anything it probably adds to the hilariousness of it all. i was planning on going to bed 2 hours ago... not gonna happen thanks to this site. check it out.
