I've created a new website & podcast for all my DJ mixes. So, all links & posts to my mixes have been removed from this blog... this site will only be for everything but my mixes. I did this because it was the easiest way to turn my mixes into a podcast and expand into other things. Also, those mixes were kind of taking over my blog. This will keep that from happening.

Who is hiring you to promote? Whom are you promoting?
Just wondering...

...are you with DataLixs?

Last time I checked it's my own name with my own website, so why would someone be hiring me to promote myself? I'm promoting myself and getting my name out there so when I have the time and money to invest in becoming a full-on DJ, I'll be ahead in the game.

What's "DataLixs"?

yeah, I agree w/PJ The purpose of the website is fuzzy.

If you want to get noticed post a professional resume and some contact info other than just an e-mail address. You might want to focus on the more technical and analytical aspects of the DJ biz - that's what companies are looking for.

I don't see what's fuzzy about the fact that I like making mixes and sharing them with the world.

Any more "anonymous" comments? LOL

damn, baby! If youre gonna be in business you have take suggestions nicely. Man! if you want to attract employers responses like yours aren't going to do it.
...still doesn't change the fact the page doesn't really promote YOU or your SKILLS. It's called Marketing 101

I guess you haven't been to the site I link to with all my DJ mixes posted... If you have, these comments of yours are quite perplexing to me.

i have been there. remain perplexed.

I'll let you in on a little secret: In the DJ biz the "grunts" put together catalogs and song lists. The DJs not only market their TV/Radio/Internet station, but also themselves. They press the flesh, they have pleasing personalities, they have statistical and analytical skills to interpret audiance feedback. A DJ's job is to provide songs that people want and to help his employer determine what the target audiance wants. Take the basic Marketing 101 course at your local college - if you make it, take Marketing 202.

Your page mentions nothing about your SKILLS other than the ability to put songs together in a row - which is a cheap commodity.

Don't use the old excuse that just because you don't know me I don't have something valid to say man. Thats a cop out!

Umm... yeah. What I'm doing has nothing to do with being a radio DJ/personality. I'm actually mixing. Look a bit closer.

LOL! Interesting comments, but the dude does have a point. If you made it a bit more porofessional and had a resume maybe you could land a job ur something. Anyway . . . whats up man? How's life? I haven't seen ya in awhile. We should hang out sometime during my Thanksgiving break next week. I heard donkey is coming back. Peace.
